Hello, I’m Matt Kramer
For over a quarter of a century I proudly (mostly proudly) made a living in the Los Angeles music scene where I was a big fish in the tiny niche pond of small clubs catering to musicians creating original music while hoping to transgress the impenetrable barrier of the commercial music industry. That era of my life ended around 1993 when I transitioned into the career of professional mediator, a calling I still consider most noble. In the subsequent decades, I often referred to myself as a refugee from the music industry. In a few days I will depart my native land, driven mostly by economic necessity to make a new home in Ahmedabad, India. Does that mean I am really a refugee now?
Here’s an old fortune cookie I found while packing and throwing things away 🙂
